The concerts are scheduled for September 26 in South Orange, New Jersey; September 27 in New York City; September 28 in Albany, New York; and September 29 in Boston.

Tickets for all of the shows except the South Orange performance are on sale now. For more details, visit GrahamNash.com.

Speaking with Rolling Stone about his decision to play his early solo albums live, Graham says, “People have been suggesting I do this [for] a long time. But it was pressure from my wife that finally convinced me. She loves those two albums and she wanted to hear them.”

Songs for Beginners reached #15 on the Billboard 200 chart, and has been certified gold. It features Nash’s hit protest anthem “Chicago,” as well as such enduring tunes as “Military Madness” and “I Used to Be a King.” Wild Tales only made it to #34 on the Billboard 200, and yielded no chart hits.

Nash currently is touring the U.S. playing sets that span his entire musical career, with accompaniment from guitarist Shane Fontayne and keyboardist Todd Caldwell. For the September concerts, he’s planning to assemble a larger band that, according to Rolling Stone.com, will include a drummer, a bassist, backup singers and a pedal-steel player.

Graham tells Rolling Stone that if the September shows are well-received, he may schedule more full-album concerts.

“We’re kind of testing the waters here,” he says. “I’ve had a lot of enthusiastic responses from the web about it, so we’ll see.”
