Courtesy of BlackheartJoan Jett will give a no-holds-barred performance at the WWE’s Wrestlemania 35 event, which takes place Sunday, April 7, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer will be playing her classic tune “Bad Reputation” when WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey makes her way to the ring to defend her title. Rousey will take part in a triple threat contest against WWE stars Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
In a video posted on the official WWE YouTube channel, Rousey says she’s thrilled that Jett will be playing during her big entrance.
“Joan Jett, I love you so much, and you’re amazing, and I totally can’t wait,” the boxer-turned-wrestler gushes in the clip. “And it’s gonna be really hard for me to make a beeline down that ramp instead of just coming over and, like, just being in awe of your amazing-ness.”
Ronda adds, “This is an immense honor, and I want to make sure this is the best show you have ever seen, second to your own show, ’cause that’s the best show ever. Thank you, Joan! See you soon!”
Jett, meanwhile, has posted a message on her Twitter feed that reads, “Ronda Rousey is a girl that does what she wants to do,” accompanied by a video featuring highlights from some of Rousey’s wrestling matches soundtracked by “Bad Reputation.”
Wrestlemania 35 also will be streamed live on the WWE Network.
Meanwhile, Joan and her band, The Blackhearts, have dozens of shows lined up this year, including headlining dates, festivals, and a stint supporting Heart on their Love Alive summer tour.
