The event will be held June 19 and 20 in Beverly Hills, California, and will feature musical performances, awards presentations, guest speakers, networking opportunities and more.

Krieger will give a performance honoring longtime Little Feat guitarists Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett, who will be recognized for their work with the Safety Harbor Kids charity. The organization supports orphans, foster children and homeless youth in their schooling and career goals, as well as arts education.

Tackett is being honored for volunteering for more than 15 years to play music and provide music lessons to kids via the Safety Harbor Kids charity. Barrere is being acknowledged for devoting his time and resources to help provide educational music and art programs for kids in need.

As for Crosby, he’s signed on as one of the celebrity judges and presenters for the 2019 WeedCon Cup awards, which honor excellence in various cannabis-related products. Last year, the folk-rock legend announced plans to launch his own cannabis brand, “The Mighty Croz.”

In other Crosby news, the 77-year-old singer/songwriter was taken ill over the weekend, causing him to cut short a concert Saturday in Beverly, Massachusetts, and cancel a show Sunday in Bar Harbor, Maine.

David posted a note on his Facebook page apologizing to fans, saying, “We’re working on making it up to you.” He’s scheduled to launch a new tour leg on August 11 in New York City.

WeedCon West organizers tell ABC Radio that Crosby is still scheduled to take part in their event.
