ABC/Randy HolmesThis year’s Kerrang! Awards were held Wednesday in London, and Metallica came away with a pair of trophies, while Led Zeppelin‘s Jimmy Page and Motorhead were honored for their career achievements.

Metallica took home both the Best International Act and Best International Live Act prizes. Drummer Lars Ulrich and bassist Rob Trujillo were on hand to accept the awards, the former of which was presented by Queen drummer Roger Taylor.

Page was presented with the Kerrang! Icon Award, and in accepting his honor, the Led Zeppelin guitarist dedicated it to up-and-coming bands, including the ones in attendance at the ceremony.

“To all of the new bands here tonight and out there…I just want to send you all the best,” Page said according to Metro.co.uk, “because this is for you as much as for me.”

Motorhead received the Kerrang! Inspiration Award, which was picked up by the group’s longtime guitarist Phil Campbell.

Campbell tipped his hat to the band’s late frontman and bassist, Lemmy Kilmister, noting, “We were captained all the way by an actual, bona fide outlaw.”

The Kerrang! Awards are hosted annually by the U.K. magazine of the same name. Visit Kerrang.com for the full list of this year’s winners.
