ABC/Randy HolmesAfter teasing that they might, Green Day indeed performed Dookie in full during their show in Madrid Wednesday night.
According to Setlist.fm, the punk trio ripped through all 14 tracks of the 1994 classic, including the hits “Basket Case,” “Longview” and “When I Come Around,” as well as deep cuts such as “Sassafras Roots,” “In the End” and “Enemius Sleepus,” which they hadn’t played live since 2013.
The band also played the hidden track “All By Myself,” which Billie Eilish recently told Billie Joe Armstrong was her favorite Green Day song.
Following the Dookie performance, Green Day then started rolling out the hits from throughout their discography, including the new single “Father of All…”, the title track from their upcoming album, due out in February.
Green Day’s Spanish excursion continues this weekend with a performance at the MTV World Stage concert in Seville ahead of Sunday’s MTV Europe Music Awards.
