But if you were concerned about Mustaine’s health issues affecting the tour, don’t worry: Megadeth is apparently raring to go.
“Megadeth is back!” the metal legends write in an Instagram post. “We can’t wait to see and play for you all on the Killing Road in 2020!”
Mustaine, 58, announced his diagnosis in June. In September, he shared that he was “almost through the last round of treatment,” and added that his doctors were “feeling very positive regarding my progress.”
In a November interview with Rolling Stone, Mustaine said that while he wasn’t explicitly “cleared” to tour, his doctors were “freaking out over how well I’ve healed.”
Megadeth’s tour with Death Punch and Bad Wolves launches January 20 in Helsinki, Finland.
