Gijsbert Hanekroot/RedfernsThe David Bowie tribute tour A Bowie Celebration — featuring various musicians who played and/or recorded with the late rock legend over the years — will return to North America for a 30-date series of concerts, starting with a March 3 show in San Diego.
The concerts will feature full performances of two classic Bowie albums from the 1970s, Diamond Dogs and The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.
Among the Bowie alumni taking part in the 2020 trek are keyboardist Mike Garson, guitarist Gerry Leonard, bassist Carmine Rojas, drummer Alan Childs and keyboardist/guitarist Kevin Armstrong.
Several artists will handle vocal duties on the trek, including Living Colour‘s Corey Glover, veteran Canadian rock singer/songwriter Sass Jordan, and Joe Sumner, who is Sting‘s son. In addition, actress/singer Evan Rachel Wood, star of the HBO series Westworld, will perform at select dates on the outing, which is plotted out through an April 11 show in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
