UMeTesla will release a new concert video and album called Five Man London Jam on March 27 that captures a special acoustic performance that the veteran rockers gave in June 2019 at London’s famed Abbey Road Studios.
Five Man London Jam will be available on Blu-ray, CD, digitally, and as a two-LP vinyl set.
The London concert featured Tesla performing unplugged in honor of the upcoming 30th anniversary of the band’s platinum-selling 1990 live album, Five Man Acoustical Jam. The group played material at the show from throughout its long history, including the 1989 hit “Love Song,” a mashup of its tune “Cumin’ Atcha Live” and The Grateful Dead‘s “Truckin’,” and Tesla’s smash cover of the Five Man Electrical Band‘s 1971 hit, “Signs.”
The concert also included renditions of The Beatles‘ “We Can Work It Out” and a few songs from Tesla’s latest studio album, 2019’s Shock.
In advance of Five Man London Jam‘s arrival, Tesla has released a performance of their 1992 song “What You Give” as a digital single and via streaming services. If you pre-order the album, you’ll also receive the track as an instant free download.
The Blu-ray includes a bonus interview with the band.
Tesla’s online shop is offering special bundles that feature a Five Man London Jam t-shirt paired with a CD, a Blu-ray or a two-LP set. A colored-vinyl version of the LP collection featuring a red disc and a blue disc also is available.
Meanwhile, Tesla begins a run of headlining shows this Friday, February 14, in Pensacola, Florida. The band also will join Alice Cooper and Lita Ford for a U.S. tour that begins May 30 in Paso Robles, California.
