Sold-out 50th anniversary Allman Brothers Band concert to be streamed live as pay-per-view event

Courtesy of Reckoning PRThe March 10 concert in New York City featuring the surviving members of The Allman Brothers Band‘s final lineup reuniting to celebrate the group’s 50th anniversary is sold out, but fans who didn’t score a ticket will still be able to watch the show live online.

The concert, which takes place at Madison Square Garden, will be streamed live as a pay-per-view event at nugs.net. The show will be available in the HD format for $29.99 and in the ultra-high-def 4K format for $49.99.

The event will feature founding Allman Brothers drummer Jaimoe, as well as longtime guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks, bassist Oteil Burbridge and percussionist Marc Quinones, performing under the moniker The Brothers. They’ll be joined by Derek’s younger brother, Widespread Panic drummer Duane Trucks; former Allmans pianist Chuck Leavell; and organist Reese Wynans, who played with Dickey Betts and the late Berry Oakley in the pre-Allmans band Second Coming.

Leavell has been The Rolling Stones‘ touring keyboardist since 1981, while Wynans was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the late Stevie Ray Vaughan‘s backing band, Double Trouble.

“This is going to be a really special evening,” says Jaimoe. “We’re all very happy that even those not able to be inside The Garden will be able to share it with us.”

In other news, Jaimoe will be taking part in a summer North American trek dubbed the Spirit of the South Tour: A Celebration of Southern Rock n’ Roll. Headlined by Blackberry Smoke, the outing also will feature The Allman Betts Band and The Wild Feathers.
