Country-themed Stagecoach festival, which also features ZZ Top and Bryan Adams, postponed until the fall

Courtesy of GoldenvoiceThe Stagecoach festival, held annually in Indio, California, is among the latest music events to be affected by the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The 2020 edition of the country-music-themed extravaganza, which also was slated to feature performances by ZZ Top and Bryan Adams, has been postponed until October, as has its sister festival, Coachella.

On Tuesday, Goldenvoice, the company behind both fests, announced, “At the direction of the County of Riverside and local health authorities, we must sadly confirm the rescheduling of Coachella and Stagecoach due to COVID-19 concerns. While this decision comes at a time of universal uncertainty, we take the safety and health of our guests, staff and community very seriously.”

Stagecoach was supposed to take place from April 24 to April 26, while Coachella was originally scheduled for the weekends of April 10 and April 17. Both festivals take place at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, located in Riverside County, California, where three cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Monday.

Now, Stagecoach will be held October 23 to October 25, while Coachella will jam out on the weekends of October 9 and 16.

If you’ve already purchased tickets, don’t fret: they’ll be honored for the new dates. If you’d rather have a refund, Goldenvoice will will issue instructions on March 13 about how to get it.
