Following New York governor Andrew Cuomo‘s announcement that gatherings of no more than 500 people will be allowed starting Friday at 5 p.m., Joel has now postponed his upcoming residency concerts at the fabled arena on March 19 and April 10 until the fall.
Those dates will now take place September 26 and October 11, respectively. All tickets for the original dates will be honored for the new shows.
Since Joel began his MSG residency in January 2014, there’s been only one month that he hasn’t played at least one concert at the arena: He was forced to postpone a September 2016 show until November of that year due to sinus surgery.
