Epic RecordsAndrew Watt, who co-produced and played guitar on Ozzy Osbourne‘s new solo album Ordinary Man, has tested positive for COVID-19.

In an Instagram post, the 29-year-old Watt writes that, starting on March 6, he felt like he’d been “hit by a bus.” 

“I couldn’t move out of my bed for days and started to run a fever,” he writes. “I was seen by a doctor at my house who told me I am positive for the regular flu and there’s no way I could have COVID-19 as I haven’t left the country and all I do is go to the studio and go straight home.”

Watt says that he then told his friends and collaborators about his condition, none of whom “even had a sniffle.”

Meanwhile, Watt’s symptoms persisted, and eventually he was able to get a test from a private doctor on Monday, which came back positive.

“I can’t stress this enough, this is not a joke,” Watt says. “Stay inside, stay sanitized. Please stop everything and take care of yourselves and the people you love around you, until we are all through this.”

Watt recorded Ordinary Man with Ozzy in 2019, along with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan. Guests on the record include Slash, Elton John, Tom Morello and Post Malone. Watt also co-produced the Ozzy-Post collaboration “Take What You Want,” featuring Travis Scott.

Ozzy, of course, has been dealing with a whole host of health problems over the past year or so, ranging from his own battle with the flu to undergoing neck surgery after suffering a fall in his home. He also revealed earlier this year that he’d been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
