Two candidates have filed to run for two seats on the Berrien RESA Board of Education.

The seats are being vacated by board members Dave Pagel and Jon Martin. Pagel has served on the RESA Board since 2020, while Martin has served since 2019. They’ve opted not to run again, and in the running for those six-year terms expiring in 2021 are Anne Kiernan of Berrien Springs and Daniel Buckenmeyer of Sawyer.

RESA has scheduled the election for June 2, and voting in it will be members of school boards from across Berrien County.

Prior to the official election, each local district will adopt a resolution indicating whom they intend to vote for as well as nominate a designee to officially submit their district’s ballot at the Berrien RESA Administrative Center on Monday, June 2.
