Congressman Tim Walberg has welcomed home a Michigan man who had been detained in Tunisia since January of last year, accused of being a spy.

Walberg’s office says Robert Vieira was doing missionary work when he was detained. The office worked with the Trump administration to secure Vieira’s release, and it was finally secured on April 13.

Viera paid a visit to Walberg’s office to give his thanks to Walberg and his team of caseworkers for working on his behalf. He says he’s relieved to be back in Michigan with his family again.
