The Cass County Board of Commissioners has selected its next county administrator.
During a special meeting Thursday, the board unanimously moved to enter contract negotiations with Patrick Jordan, who most recently served as county administrator in Ionia County.
The board says it made its decision after an “extensive review of more than two dozen applications and a rigorous interview process” that included two rounds of interviews with finalists and a town hall-style meeting.
Board Chair Jeremiah Jones says the body looks “forward to working with Mr. Jordan to continue building on the strong foundation already in place and welcome him to Cass County.”
The board received help in its search from the Michigan Leadership Institute.
