The Van Buren Conservation District will hold a community recycling event next week in Paw Paw.

The conservation district  says the Recycle Roundup collections are the biggest recycling and safe disposal events of the year. Van Buren County residents can drop by with used, unwanted items from a long list of accepted items for recycling and safe disposal.

At the June 7 event, they’ll take household hazardous waste like chemicals, paint, and batteries. They’ll also take electronics. That’s anything with a cord or batteries. They’ll also accept tires for both passenger and commercial vehicles and foam.

The Recycle Roundup will be at Van Buren Community Mental Health from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 7.

Other events are planned for South Haven and Lawrence in July and October.
