Southwestern Michigan College is asking the community to get involved in its search for a new president.
SMC tells us while the search continues, it wants to know the thoughts of residents and students, and they’re asked to attend a work session this month. It’s set for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25 at SMC. It’ll be held at the at the Mathews Conference Center West in the Fred Mathews Library. Trustees hope everyone will come out and share their thoughts on what they would like to see in the college’s ninth president.
There’s also an online survey where anyone can chime in. You can find it here.
SMC leaders hope to have candidates identified and brought in for interviews in October or November.
