Lake Michigan College is honoring the student athletes who have been stars in the classroom as well as on the field.

The college says the Michigan Community College Athletic Association has announced its list of student-athletes who have achieved 2024-2025 academic honors, and among them are 56 from LMC. Also, LMC Baseball, Softball, and Women’s Volleyball have all been named association Academic Teams for 2024-2025. To get that status, status, an association-sponsored sport must record a 3.0 or above cumulative team GPA throughout the current academic year.

Lake Michigan College Dean of Student Life Melissa Grau says the college is proud of those Red Hawks who have set a high standard and shown that “balancing practice and games along with carrying a full-time academic schedule is a challenge that requires discipline, focus, and strong time management skills.”
