Congressman Bill Huizenga says the refusal of former President Joe Biden’s doctor to answer questions about Biden’s mental acuity during a closed-door interview with members of the House GOP last week “does not look good.”
Huizenga tells us Kevin O’Connor was Biden’s doctor when while Biden was in office, and when invited to speak with lawmakers last Wednesday, O’Connor asserted his Fifth Amendment rights and doctor-patient privilege to decline questions.
“The question that prompted the White House doctor to plead the fifth on was, ‘Were you ever pressured to lie about the abilities and the physical and mental health of president Biden?”
Huizenga says there are questions about who was really running the White House when Biden was in office. He tells us figuring out what was going on could lead to new standards governing the qualifications of presidents.
“We have to wrestle with this as a country and figure out are we going to have some sort of standards and some sort of measurement for our future leaders?”
Huizenga says there’s been discussion about having a neutral third-party examination of presidents, or possibly a mental acuity test.
Of course, Huizenga asserts that President Donald Trump is in great shape and more vigorous than most his age. In the case of Biden, though, he wonders who was taking those famous 2 a.m. calls during those four years.
