Coming up later this month will be a resource fair in Benton Harbor to help connect people with community organizations and items they may need.
Fourth Ward City Commissioner Ethel Clark Griffin tells us this is the fourth annual Fourth Ward Resource Fair, to be held August 23 from noon to 4 p.m. at 870 Nate Wells Senior Drive.
“I have different organizations there giving out free resources, and a lot of them, if you go to the resource fair, they have cups, free things on the table,” Griffin said. “We’re going to have raffles. I do a raffle like every 20 minutes, sometimes 30 minutes. So just to give away, about three different tables with clothes, shoes, personal hygiene, housewares, you name it.”
Griffin says they’ll also have someone out grilling food for everyone. Everything will be totally free.
Griffin says the fair is an initiative of the Fourth Ward Alliance, a group she started with a constituent. All Fourth Ward residents are invited.
