The South Haven Regional Business Hub is now taking applications for its 2025-26 Leadership Accelerator program, intended to help new entrepreneurs understand how to better manage their fledgling businesses.
Regional Business Hub Board member Mike Neiss tells us the organization is enlisting the expertise of business leaders from throughout the area to work with those who sign up.
“We hope to, through this experience, provide familiarity with some skills and techniques that can help them, but also importantly, building a network, a strong network of support,” Neiss said.
Neiss says the accelerator program will seek to help business owners improve in three key areas.
“One, to be a better self. Two, to build a better team. And lastly, to build a better organization. So, we’re trying to take a really big picture.”
Also, Neiss says they want to teach new entrepreneurs about the importance of community advocacy and involvement.
The accelerator program will begin in the fall and take place over the course of the next seven months with weekly sessions. Neiss says those who sign up will also undertake a special project to help them learn the management skills needed to keep a business afloat. The hub’s hope is to have around 30 students.
