South Haven Area Emergency Services is planning its annual Fire Safety Fun Night for this Thursday, October 9.

SHAES says the entire community is invited to come out and learn about fire safety, watch equipment demonstrations, and meet with staff. There will also be prizes and complimentary refreshments.

The 18th annual event coincides with National Fire Prevention Week and is intended for guests of all ages, although kids need to be accompanied by an adult.

Fire Safety Fun Night will run from 5 to 7 p.m. at the department’s Station 3 on Blue Star Memorial Highway. Those who attend are advised to park across from the fire station at the Moose Lodge on East Wells Street.
