Mariners 8, Tigers 4 – Raleigh, Suarez, Crawford homer and Mariners top Tigers 8-4 for a 2-1 lead in the ALDS
Cal Raleigh hit a two-run homer, Eugenio Suarez and J.P. Crawford had solo shots and the Seattle Mariners beat the Detroit Tigers 8-4 on Tuesday night to take a 2-1 lead in the AL Division Series. The Mariners are within a win of their first AL Championship Series since 2001. Their first chance to advance is on Wednesday afternoon in Game 4 at Comerica Park and if necessary, another opportunity awaits on Friday back in Seattle for a decisive Game 5. Seattle’s Logan Gilbert gave up one run on four hits while striking out seven and walking none over six innings.
Yankees 9, Blue Jays 6 – Aaron Judge does it all and rescues Yankees with `amazing swing’ against Blue Jays
When the New York Yankees needed someone to save them Tuesday night, Aaron Judge practically put on a cape. Captain clutch, indeed. In a do-it-all performance for the ages, Judge hit a tying homer and drove in four runs as the Yankees staved off elimination by rallying past the Toronto Blue Jays 9-6 in Game 3 of their AL Division Series. Judge went 3 for 4 with an intentional walk and scored three times, also making pivotal plays with his glove and legs. Down by five early, New York scored eight unanswered runs to prevent a three-game sweep and push the best-of-five playoff series to Game 4 on Wednesday night in the Bronx.

MLB – Tigers need to find offense before time runs out in the AL Division Series
The Detroit Tigers have less than 24 hours to find an offense that can save their season. Unfortunately for their chances in the American League Division Series, the Tigers have been looking for the last month without any success. Detroit only managed one run on five hits in the first eight innings of their 8-4 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday, leaving them down 2-1 in the series and facing elimination on Wednesday.
NFL – Bengals acquire Joe Flacco from the Browns in trade that also involves draft picks
Joe Flacco is on the move again. The Cincinnati Bengals acquired the veteran quarterback from the Cleveland Browns along with a 2026 sixth-round draft pick on Tuesday for a fifth-round pick next season. The 40-year-old Flacco gives Cincinnati another option. Jake Browning has struggled since replacing Joe Burrow, who is out with a toe injury sustained in Week 2. Flacco started the first four games for the Browns this season, completing 93 of 160 passes for 815 yards and two touchdowns with six interceptions. Rookie Dillon Gabriel replaced Flacco in the starting lineup. Rookie Shedeur Sanders now moves up to the backup spot.
NFL – Truck driver sues Mark Sanchez and Fox after violent fight over parking space
A truck driver has filed a lawsuit against former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez and Fox Corporation following a bloody fight police say was started by Sanchez. The lawsuit, filed Monday in Indiana, accuses Sanchez of starting a fight outside a downtown Indianapolis hotel. The altercation left the 69-year-old truck driver, Perry Tole, with severe injuries. Tole also stabbed Sanchez during the fight. Prosecutors say the dispute began over parking. Sanchez faces a felony battery charge and several misdemeanors. Tole’s lawsuit seeks damages and attorney’s fees. Sanchez was in Indianapolis for Fox’s coverage of a football game. Fox Sports declined to comment on the lawsuit.

NCAAFB – Michigan’s Bryce Underwood one of many Big Ten quarterbacks starting early
Michigan freshman Bryce Underwood has started since Week 1 and is not expected to sit anytime soon. The 15th-ranked Wolverines are one of several Big Ten teams who are starting quarterbacks in their first or second year of college and are living with good moments and growing pains. Maryland freshman Malik Washington, Ohio State redshirt freshman Julian Sayin and Minnesota redshirt freshman Drake Lindsey along with sophomores Dylan Raiola of Nebraska and Demond Williams Jr. of Washington are making many more plays than mistakes.
NCAAFB – Reeling Penn State players and coaches are looking to salvage season
The pain and anger was just beginning for Penn State players as handfuls of UCLA fans stormed the Rose Bowl to celebrate their Bruins’ upset win. The Nittany Lions, ranked second in the country just two weeks earlier, still had a nearly seven-hour flight home, where they’d have to relive their loss to the previously winless Bruins in the film room. After losing their highly anticipated rematch of last season’s Big Ten championship with No. 3 Oregon, the Nittany Lions became the first top-10 team to fall to an 0-4 squad in 40 years when they lost 42-37 to UCLA. Penn State players are still smarting as they prepare to face Northwestern on Saturday.
NCAAFB – Deion Sanders will undergo a procedure related to blood clots, plans to coach
Colorado coach Deion Sanders is undergoing a procedure related to his blood clots. He hopes to be back at practice the next day and on the sideline this weekend against Iowa State. Sanders provided a medical update Tuesday, saying the issue is hereditary and not related to his work level. He experienced pain during a recent game at TCU, where he was seen limping and not wearing a shoe on his left foot. Sanders has faced blood clot issues before, leading to the amputation of two toes in 2021. He remains optimistic about his recovery.
