Move over Marilyn Monroe. Step aside Pamela Anderson. Here comes Kysre Gondrezick.
Playboy has announced that they have selected professional basketball player and Benton Harbor’s own Kysre Gondrezick as its Miss June 2025 Playmate for their Winter 2025-26 issue, making her the first current female pro basketball player to take on the Playmate title.
Gondrezick, a former WNBA guard who now works as a free agent, said the move reflects her desire to expand her career rather than pivot away from sports.
“What people label as a transition, I embody as evolution,” she said in the social media announcement. “I’m not stepping outside who I am. I’m building a multidimensional brand.”
Gondrezick added that her basketball journey prepared her for the new opportunity. “Becoming a WNBA player and getting to that level, you put in a lot of work to get there,” she said. “You have to put in even more work to stay there.”
The June Playmate shoot was photographed by Dove Shore with creative direction from Smiley Stevens. Mallory Roynon served as design and visuals director, with hair by Tahirah June, makeup by Samuel Paul and styling by Oretta Corbelli.
Gondrezick reposted the announcement on social media saying the magazine will be available November 11, 2025. Pre-orders of the 2026 Playboy Calendar featuring all 12 of 2025’s Playmates including Gondrezick are available now.
