Cornerstone Alliance is recognizing one of its leaders for a new professional achievement.
Andrew Haan, the senior of community development and growth, has earned the Certified Economic Developer credential from the International Economic Development Council.
Cornerstone says the designation is held by just 1,250 professionals worldwide and signals advanced training and expertise in economic development. It adds the credential strengthens the organization’s ability to attract investment and support long-term growth across Berrien County.
Cornerstone Alliance CEO Marla Schneider says Haan’s accomplishment reflects both his dedication and Cornerstone’s commitment to excellence. Haan says earning the certification will help him apply data-driven strategies to better serve Southwest Michigan communities.
Haan has previously led downtown development efforts in Muskegon and Kalamazoo and served as the associate director of the Governor’s Office of Urban and Metropolitan Initiatives.
