The kids are on holiday break and you may be off work and looking for things to do. How about heading to Grand Rapids?

Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park has “Enlighten,” an immersive night time art and light experience. The garden’s John Vanderhaagen told us more.

“Enlighten is a great complement to our now 30-year running University of Michigan Health West Christmas and Holiday tradition,” Vanderhaagen said. “So that takes over our interior spaces with over 40 different cultures showing how the different cultures from around the world enjoy the holidays. So we have trees, we have cultural displays, we have a railway garden which has miniature buildings.”

Vanderhaagen says they have fire pits outside, hot chocolate, and other goodies.
