
One suspect is facing charges after a chase that started in Chikaming Township and extended down into Indiana on Sunday.
We’re told the chase began on Red Arrow Highway with the suspect speeding toward the state line and entering Michigan City with officers in pursuit. In Michigan City, the suspect turned around, leading police back into Michigan.
It was in New Buffalo Township that the chase ended when police threw stop sticks in the road.
The Chikaming Township Police Department arrested the suspect on charges of fleeing and eluding. He was taken to the Berrien County Jail.

In all, Chikaming Township police, the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, New Buffalo Township police, and Michigan City police were involved in the pursuit.
