The seventh annual World of Winter Festival kicks off this weekend, and it’s a big deal. They had more than two million visitors last year throughout the two-month event, making it the largest winter festival in the United States.

Grand Rapids, Incorporated spokesperson Bill Kirk says World of Winter is all free for all ages.

Kirk says the festival also means a lot of economic activity.

We found that the festival brings about $38 million into the community over the course of the two months.”
