The Michigan Secretary of State’s office is bringing a driver’s license restoration clinic to Benton Harbor next week to help residents who have lost their licenses get back on the road legally.
The Road to Restoration clinic will be held Wednesday, March 18 at the Michigan Works of Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties office on West Main Street. State experts and volunteer attorneys will meet one-on-one with drivers to review their license status and explain the steps needed to regain driving privileges.
The Secretary of State says some other services will also be available on site, including vision tests and the written driver’s exam. It encourages everyone to register ahead of time online and bring a copy of their driving record, along with identification, a birth certificate, and proof of residency.
The appointments will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., although walk-ins will be accepted if space allows. The Secretary of State notes the clinic does not offer DUI expungement.
