A Mishawaka man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Cass County on Wednesday.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says deputies were dispatched to Oil City Road south of M-62 in Jefferson Township around 4:45 p.m.

The investigation found a vehicle driven by 66-year-old Todd Willingham has been southbound on Oil City Road when it left the road and hit a tree. Willingham was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.

Assisting at the scene were Michigan State Police, SMCAS ambulance, and the Cass Central Fire Department.
