Courtesy of earMUSIC; Brantley GutierrezAlice Cooper and Foo Fighters are part of the lineup of performers for the 2020 MusiCares Person of the Year gala, which will honor Aerosmith.

Each year, MusiCares names an individual or act as the Person of the Year in recognition of their career achievements and philanthropic efforts. The annual event benefits the MusiCares Foundation, the charitable arm of the Recording Academy, which provides medical, financial and personal assistance to in-need music community members.

Other artists on the performer lineup for the 2020 event include John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr., pop group The Jonas Brothers, and R&B stars John Legend and H.E.R.

The 2020 MusiCares Person of the Year gala takes place January 24 in Los Angeles. The 2020 Grammy Awards ceremony will be held two days later, on January 26.
