The Benton Township Police Department is seeking the public’s help to solve a possible hit and run case.

The department says just before 1 a.m. Thursday, officers were sent to the area of East Napier Avenue and South Crystal on a report of a personal injury crash. When they arrived, they didn’t find any vehicles, but they did find a 35-year-old woman with serious injuries on the side of the road.

Due to her condition, the woman was unable to provide police any statement. Now, the police department is asking everyone for information.

If anyone was in the area and saw a vehicle or the victim walking prior to the incident, they’re asked to contact the Benton Township Police Department or Berrien County Central Dispatch.
