The National Cherry Festival kicks off on Saturday in Traverse City.

Festival Director Kat Paye says there will be all kinds of things for visitors to see and do. How about the food available?

“You can get cherry cheese, cherry jerky, chocolate-covered cherries, both milk and dark, dried cherries, our famous cherry crumb pie from the Grand Traverse Pie Company that is the signature pie of the National Cherry Festival,” Paye said. “And my preferred way to enjoy this is in a cherry pie flurry.”

But food isn’t all they have. There’s music. The concerts include Tyler Hubbard, Cheap Trick, Trace Adkins, and Grand Funk Railroad.

The festival runs through July 5.
