The South Haven Performance Series will present The Poulenc Trio in concert on Friday, Aug. 15, at the First United Methodist Church, 429 Michigan Ave. The performance begins at 7 p.m.
The Poulenc Trio is a touring piano-wind chamber music ensemble that has performed internationally.
The New York Times has praised the group for its “elegant rendition” of Piazzolla’s tangos, while The Washington Post has described its programs as “intriguing and beautifully played” with “convincing elegance, near effortless lightness and grace.”
Founded in 2010, the South Haven Performance Series is an all-volunteer organization that offers musical arts programming for residents and visitors.
Admission is $15, with students admitted free. Tickets, payable by cash or check, will be sold at the door.
The concert is supported by the South Haven Community Foundation, corporate sponsors, and individual donors.
