St. Joseph turned in its most complete performance of the season Friday night, rolling to a 46-7 win over Gull Lake at Dickinson Stadium. The Bears established control early, as Ish Dixon capped the opening drive with a four-yard touchdown run, then broke free for a 32-yard score later in the first quarter. James Atterbery added a 27-yard touchdown dash in the second quarter to give St. Joe a 20-0 halftime lead. After the break, the Bears exploded for 26 third-quarter points on scoring runs from Caden LeClear, Dixon, Atterbery, and Brayden Malone, finishing with a staggering 511 rushing yards and 657 total yards of offense. Dixon led the way with 156 yards and three touchdowns, while Atterbery posted 80 yards and two scores on just two carries. The defense also contributed with an interception by Dominick Lignell, helping limit Gull Lake to one late touchdown

The victory not only evens St. Joseph’s record at 2-2 but also improves the Bears to 10-0 all-time against Gull Lake, continuing their dominance in the series. The timing couldn’t be better, as the Bears now shift focus to one of the most anticipated games of the season—the annual rivalry matchup with Lakeshore. The “War by the Shore” returns to Dickinson Stadium next Friday, promising a charged atmosphere and a chance for St. Joe to carry its momentum into a game that always defines the community. With the offense firing on all cylinders and the defense showing toughness, the Bears will look to build on their strong performance and make another statement against their cross-town rival
