An Allegan County man is facing several charges after a cockfighting event was allegedly caught on video at his home over the summer.

The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department says 37-year-old Edin Dilson Rodas of Hopkins Township has been arraigned on five felony charges for the event captured on July 26.

The department was provided video from the animal advocacy group, Showing Animals Respect and Kindness, or SHARK, on July 28. It then executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home, which it says provided it more evidence.

Bond for Rodas has been set at $5,000, and police say the investigation continues as police identify more suspects.
