The Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven is hoping a lot of little ghouls and ghosts come out for its annual Kids’ Halloween Spooktacular, set for next Thursday, October 23.

The museum says when kids arrive, they’ll be given a treasure map leading them to eight learning locations across the museum grounds, and at each stop, the explorers can play games and collect candy and prizes. Along the way, there will also be costumes, trick-or-treating, and plenty of spooky surprises.

The museum says the best part of it all is that it will be completely free, and while families are there for the fun, they’re also invited to explore the museum’s exhibits for a special Halloween evening of discovery.

The Michigan Maritime Museum Kids’ Halloween Spooktacular will run from 4 to 6 p.m. next Thursday and will be held rain or shine.
