Early Tuesday morning, Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety responded to a house fire on the 2000 block of Orchard Street, providing automatic aid to the Benton Charter Township Fire Department.

Crews arrived around 3:12 a.m. to find flames coming from a one-story home. Firefighters brought the blaze under control in about 20 minutes using two handlines. No injuries were reported. St. Joseph Department of Public Safety and Medic 1 Ambulance also assisted.

Officials say this marks the third automatic aid response to a structure fire in Benton Township since 9 p.m. Monday.
