A South Haven woman has been charged in a crash involving an Amish buggy that injured five people in August.
Authorities say 33-year-old Chelsea Kristine Owens faces five counts of operating while intoxicated causing serious injury.
The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office says six people were taken to the hospital after Owens’ SUV rear-ended the buggy on County Road 388 on August 8. Five people were hurt, including four with serious injuries and one critically.
Deputies say Owens remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
