Set for this Saturday at the Box Factory for the Arts in St. Joseph is the annual Makers Market, raising funds to keep the Box Factory open and thriving.
The Box Factory’s Tisha Sandburg tells us this is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the organization.
“We have 40 vendors,” Sandburg said. “It’s all artist-made. We have just a huge variety of different things that artists have made, including even baked goods. We have handmade chocolates, jewelry, pottery, all kinds of things.”
Sandburg says this is everyone’s chance to come and see what the Box Factory is all about.
“If you’ve never been to the Box Factory, I think you’ll be just amazed by the building itself. And then it’s three floors. Every floor has vendors. We have lunch. We have a bar. We have specialty drinks for the holidays.”
They’ll also have activities for the kids.
Sandburg says the Makers Market is the ultimate shopping experience in Southwest Michigan with an atmosphere that’s buzzing with people from the area, but also with friends and family visiting for the Thanksgiving weekend.
