The city of Niles is inviting residents to share their thoughts on the latest Community Recreation Plan, laying out goals for the development and improvement of parks in the years ahead.

Community Development Director Ann Young says the city is dedicated to creating a vibrant, connected community where everyone has access to safe, accessible parks, and this plan will serve as a guide on how to accomplish that. She says public input is valued as the document is finalized, and a survey is now online asking everyone about their parks priorities.

Residents now have a chance to voice their thoughts on everything from park amenities and accessibility to future improvements and recreational opportunities.

The survey takes about seven minutes to complete, and it will be available through January 11. You can find it right here.
