A grand jury has declined to indict a group of Democratic senators, including Michigan Senator Elissa Slotkin.
The senators posted a video in November that reminding military members they can refuse to follow unlawful orders, an action President Trump called seditious.
Senator Slotkin says her and her lawyer have requested that prosecutors keep their records should she decide to file a lawsuit in the future.
“Earlier today, we sent a letter back to them saying, OK, after the failure in court yesterday, can we please confirm with you that this is over, that you’re not going to try yet another attempt at investigation, arrest, prosecution, etc., etc.? So I’m keeping all my options open,” Slotkin said.
U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro requested that Senator Slotkin attend a voluntary interview, which Slotkin declined.
