The Town and Country Garden Club in Dowagiac is planning its annual garden sale for May 16.

The club says this is a chance for anyone to pick up plants grown by club members. They divide and pot the plants with a goal of making sure the varieties are well suited to local growing conditions.

The club says proceeds from the sale help fund scholarships and provide Christmas gift cards for students in Dowagiac schools. The event is also a chance for everyone to meet local gardeners and learn more about the group’s work in the community.

The Town and Country Garden Club Annual Plant Sale will be from 9 a.m. to noon at the Dowagiac Post Office on May 16. All are welcome.
