Results are in from Tuesday’s elections around Southwest Michigan.

Berrien County

In Berrien County, most of the proposals on the ballot were approved.

A bond proposal for Bridgman Public Schools passed by a large margin, as did Bridgman’s school operating millage renewal.

A bond proposal for Coloma Community Schools was approved.

A bond proposal for Eau Claire Public schools narrowly passed. Unofficial results show the margin was 324 to 316. Eau Claire’s operating millage renewal was also approved, and by a larger margin.

An operating millage proposal for River Valley School District was approved.

The city of Watervliet’s police protection millage renewal was approved. So were renewals of police and fire millages in Baroda Township. However, a proposed increase to the public safety millage in Baroda Township failed.

Van Buren County

Van Buren County voters also said yes to a handful of ballot proposals.

A parks millage proposal in the village of Paw Paw was approved by voters.

A Gobles school renewal passed.

Mattawan’s school renewal was approved.

There was also an uncontested race for Bangor City Council.
