BMGSammy Hagar and his supergroup The Circle will release their debut studio album, Space Between, on May 10. In advance of the record, the band has unleashed the lead single, the hard-rocking “Trust Fund Baby.”
The track is available now as a digital download and via streaming services. You can check out a lyric video for the tune at Hagar’s official YouTube channel and a video of the Red Rocker introducing the new song at his Instagram page.
Hagar is joined in The Circle by his ex-Van Halen band mate Michael Anthony on bass, plus occasional Led Zeppelin drummer Jason Bonham and guitarist Vic Johnson, who’s a longtime member of Sammy’s backing band The Wabos.
According to a press statement about Space Between, the album’s tracks span the musical spectrum “from intimate and introspective eye-openers to heart-pumping anthems,” and focus on such themes of “money, greed, enlightenment and truth.”
Hagar & The Circle will launch a major North American tour in support of Space Between this spring. The trek’s details and the album’s track list will announced starting February 4.
The Circle previously released a live album titled At Your Service in 2015.
During the tour, the band will be performing some new songs, along with tunes from Hagar’s solo career and songs by Montrose, Van Halen and Led Zeppelin.
The group currently has three confirmed shows on its itinerary — a February 21 appearance at the 2019 San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo and performances at Sammy Hagar’s High Tide Beach Party & Car Show on September 28 and 29 in Huntington Beach, California.
