Chick-fil-A in Benton Harbor is planning a giveback night to support Present Pillars, the non-profit advocating for fathers in Benton Harbor.

Present Pillars Director James Gunter tells us customers who head to Chick-fil-A between 4 and 8 p.m. on Monday, March 2 will be able to support the organization simply by placing an order.

“They’ll be donating back 20% that day between four and eight,” Gunter said. “We’re really excited that yet another community business is excited about supporting the work that we do.”

Gunter says Chick-fil-A approached Present Pillars about the idea, and the organization is excited to have the opportunity. He says the funds raised will support its general programming, which includes the new Mancave Mondays — gatherings of dads who are just looking for companionship, support, and advice.

“So we’ve been having guys stop in, share, listen, take part in resources, actually build a community for fatherhood in our city.”

Mancave Mondays start at 5 p.m. at the Pillar Center at 315 East Main Street in Benton Harbor. Gunter says the next one will be in March.

Gunter invites everyone to Chick-fil-A on March 2 for the giveback night, noting Present Pillars will be there to greet visitors and answer questions.
